A passion for life and an exuberant, positive
attitude inspires Felicitas to present a color adventure on canvas. Her
abstract acrylic on expansive canvas involves layers upon layers of
iridescent colors in a fantasy of color. As well, her transparent foil
series are considered brilliant in a world where conformity is all too
common. As one*s eye travels throughout her paintings one only sees a
reflection of her beautiful life experiences.
In Felicitas' early years one could find her in Berlin. More recently she
has traveled to such diverse areas as South America, throughout Europe,
Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Australia, Caribbean, and the United States
to name a few. Her home is now in Santa Fe, New Mexico, referred to by many
as *the City Different*. It is a spiritual place with gorgeous sunsets, star
filled nights and a vast high desert landscape of mountains, gorges and wide
open spaces humbling all who share its* beauty. As noted by a prominent
German editor, these travel adventures reflect the color adventure in her
paintings. As her world has expanded and grown so has her art. The
expressions found in her paintings commence with only the urge to paint and
ultimately reflect her femininity and spirituality.
Her paintings have been displayed in numerous European galleries as well as
galleries in such places as New York, Cape Cod, and Santa Fe and her own
gallery in Berlin. Writers including Ulrich Clewing a prominent German art
critic have referred to Felicitas, and her work, as inspiring, a love of
life, spiritual light, optimistic, confident, from her heart and soul. But
best of all her art is like her laughter and smile and her joy for life for
they are contagious and know no bounds.
